Community Guidelines
Last updated 28 October 2026
Your cast is a small group, usually four people, from your city who love some of the same films. The Green Room works when everyone feels welcome. These rules keep it that way. Breaking them can end your time on Cinebor (see the end of this page).
Be the friend you would want
- Talk about movies, taste and the odd hot take. Disagree kindly.
- No harassment, insults, hate, threats, bullying or pressure. Not toward anyone, for any reason, including their race, religion, caste, nationality, gender, sexuality, disability or age.
- Flag spoilers. Not everyone has seen it yet.
- Everyone here is an adult, and everyone chose to be here. Respect a quiet member.
Respect boundaries
- Cinebor is for film friends, not a dating service. No unwanted romantic or sexual advances.
- No sexual or explicit content, and nothing that involves or endangers a minor.
- If someone says no or goes quiet, accept it. Never keep pushing.
Privacy: yours and theirs
- You can share a handle, number or link when you want to, and only with people you trust. Take your time; nobody owes you their details.
- Never pressure anyone to move the chat somewhere else, and never share someone else’s details, messages or photos without their permission.
- Do not ask for personal details beyond taste, such as addresses, ID or money.
- Be honest about who you are. No fake identities, and no pretending to be someone else.
No selling, scams or spam
- No selling, promoting, recruiting, fundraising or asking for money.
- Be careful with links from people you have just met. Report anything that looks like a scam. Our Safety guide lists the warning signs.
- No bots, scraping or copying the chat elsewhere to embarrass anyone.
You are always in control
- Leave the cast at any time. You can always get a new cast.
- Report a message or a person. When two members report the same message, it is hidden from everyone else until a person on our team looks at it.
- Block someone. You will not be matched with them again and you will not see their messages.
- Pause matching or delete your account in Settings.
What happens if someone breaks the rules
A confirmed violation earns a warning. A second one means a 24 hour mute (you can read but not write). A third means the account is closed. Serious cases (threats, hate, harm to minors, scams) can be closed straight away. If you think we got it wrong, email us within 30 days and we will look again. See the Contact page.
Meeting someone from the internet
Cinebor is chat only today. If you choose to meet someone, remember: meet in a public place, tell a friend where you are going, arrange your own transport, and trust your instincts. You owe nobody a meeting, and you can walk away at any time. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (112 in India, 911 in the US). Read the full Safety guide.
